Leadership and Team

• Founder – Susanne Lichten Csongor

Susanne built SLC Interiors from the ground up and has more than 34 years of experience. She holds a Master's Degree in Interior Design from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has studied Decorative Art and Architecture in Paris. Susanne is a member of the Institute for Classical Art and Architecture and was inducted into the New England Design Hall of Fame in 2022.

• Principal – Natalie Lebeau

Natalie oversees the creative direction, logistics of all design projects, and day-to-day operations of the firm. Educated at The Fashion Institute of Technology, she blends traditional hand-sketching with AutoCAD and 3D rendering to guide clients through the design process.

• Senior Designers – Joseph Chartier-Petrelis and Samantha Camerlengo

Both senior designers bring extensive experience in high-end residential interiors and project management, combining artistic vision with strong technical and organizational skills.

• Support Team

SLC Interiors is supported by a talented design assistant, office manager, and administrative staff who help ensure projects are well-organized and executed smoothly.

The entire team shares a commitment to thoughtful design, attention to detail, and long-term client relationships.

• Programming and visioning – Getting to know clients, asking detailed questions, and defining goals, objectives, and functional needs for each project.
• Space planning and layouts – Developing furniture plans, room layouts, and circulation patterns that support the way clients live.
• Furniture, finishes, and materials – Selecting furniture styles, upholstery, case goods, rugs, wall and window treatments, surfaces, and other finishes that align with the overall design direction.
• Color palettes and styling – Creating cohesive color palettes and layered interiors, including art, accessories, and decorative details.
• Design documentation – Preparing specifications, schedules, and drawings that clearly communicate the design to architects, builders, and fabricators.
• Visualization – Using hand sketches, renderings, and 3D models to help clients understand the proposed design.
• Installation oversight – Overseeing the placement of rugs, furniture, window treatments, art, and accessories, and fine-tuning rooms during installation.

SLC Interiors works primarily on high-end residential projects in:

• New England
• Much of the eastern seaboard of the United States

The firm frequently collaborates on projects in and around the Boston area and across the broader New England region, and also takes on select projects along the East Coast.

• Continue to support clients after installation, helping accommodate evolving needs over time.
