Shavitz Heating and Air Conditioning provides ductwork services for homes and businesses in Skokie, IL, and the surrounding Chicagoland area.

Role of ductwork in your HVAC system

• Ducts act as the circulatory system for your heating and cooling equipment.
• Pinched, collapsed, leaking, or poorly designed ducts can reduce comfort, cause uneven temperatures, and waste energy.

Duct repair and duct sealing

Shavitz offers professional duct repair and sealing services. Common signs you may need duct repair or sealing include:

• Ductwork making strange or new noises
• Areas of the building that are not heated or cooled enough
• Higher energy use or bills without a matching change in how you use your system

Services include:

• Locating and repairing holes, leaks, and disconnected sections
• Sealing ducts to help reduce air loss
• Evaluating whether damaged sections should be repaired or replaced

Duct replacement and new duct installation

• Shavitz installs and replaces ductwork for new systems or when existing ducts are in poor condition.
• Proper design and installation help avoid unnecessary bends, pinches, and restrictions that can hurt performance.
• Technicians have experience with different duct types, including flexible insulated ducts.

Custom ductwork design

• When standard duct sizes or layouts are not a good fit, Shavitz can design custom ductwork for the space.
• Custom ductwork is intended to minimize resistance to airflow and support efficient, even heating and cooling.

For ductwork services, Shavitz offers:
