Paragon's flagship ISRU system is the ISRU-derived water purification and Hydrogen Oxygen Production (IHOP) system.

ISRU Collector of Ice in a Cold Lunar Environment (ICICLE)

Paragon's ICICLE technology is a cold trap that supports water-based ISRU architectures.

Key characteristics:

• Uses a regulated freeze distillation process
• Employs optimized internal geometry for high water collection efficiency
• Provides one-step collection and coarse purification of extracted water
• Applicable to environments including the Moon, Mars, and asteroids

Integrated ISRU system testing

Paragon routinely pursues integrated testing opportunities with other ISRU technology developers to help ensure that many elements from multiple manufacturers and suppliers can work together in a functional ISRU architecture.

Lunar dust mitigation

Paragon works on technologies to mitigate the impact of lunar dust (abrasive, electrostatically charged regolith) on surface hardware.

• Under a NASA contract for the Modal Optimized Vibration dust Eliminator (MOVE), Paragon developed a solution for active dust mitigation for thermal radiators.

Cryogenic propellant storage solutions

Paragon has developed cryogenic storage solutions combining two key technologies:

• Ellipsoidal Propellant Tank (EPT)
• Cryogenic Encapsulating Launch Shroud and Insulated Upper Stage (CELSIUS)

This expandable soft-goods approach provides:

• Small stowage volume
• High usable volume
• Solutions for cryogenic fluid storage that can be deployed in any space environment

Lunar ISRU architecture development

In 2018, Paragon contributed to a community-wide ISRU study exploring the development of a commercial lunar propellant architecture.

• The effort involved over 25 organizations, including NASA, Colorado School of Mines (CSM), and Honeybee Robotics.
• Paragon continues to conduct concept and architecture development studies, including research into future ISRU consumables users' needs, to remain at the cutting edge of the ISRU processing chain and technology advancement.
