Friendship Auto School

The useful links page points visitors to outside resources rather than answering rules questions itself. It lists links titled: "Massachusetts Driver's Manual - MassRMV.com"; "Learner's Permit Application: print/download form or complete your application online"; "Road Test Application (PDF)"; "Pay RMV (License/Road Test fee)"; "Driver's Education Certificate Status"; "Supervised Driving Log"; and "Massachusetts Practice Test for your Permit". The page introduces them with "Enjoy the convenience of being able to link to these helpful websites where you'll find all the information and answers to questions you may have."

Anything to do with Massachusetts permit rules, age or eligibility requirements, road test procedure, or the fees the RMV itself charges is a question for the RMV or for the school on 617.776.5911, not something this website answers. The school's address is 235 Highland Ave. Somerville, MA 02143 and its email is info@friendshipautoschool.net.

The homepage says the instructors are patient and that they "will be with you every step of the way as you learn the rules of the road along with proper technique." It invites visitors to "Contact Us TODAY to set up your appointment!"

For prices, an appointment, a booking or a quote, the phone number published across every page is 617.776.5911 and the email address is info@friendshipautoschool.net. The class registration page also gives 781.526.3762 for questions about classes.

The website does not publish office hours, does not list the languages instructors speak, does not name individual instructors or publish their credentials, and does not publish a school licence number. It also does not publish any pass rate. Questions about Massachusetts permit, licence or road test requirements should go to the school or to the Massachusetts RMV.

The phone number 617.776.5911 and the email address appear in the header and footer of every page. The class registration page adds a second number, 781.526.3762, for questions about classes or the registration form.

On areas served, the homepage says the school "serves Somerville and its surrounding areas in Greater Boston" and the about page names "cities such as Somerville, Medford, Arlington, and other parts of the Greater Boston area". The rates page states that lessons "include free pick up and drop off!" but does not define a pick-up radius or say whether any part of the service area carries a travel fee, so the area covered for a given address should be checked with the school.

The contact page says

"For general inquires, questions, or comments, please fill out the form below and we will be sure to get back to you as soon as possible. Please allow for at least 24 hours for response. If it should be urgent and in need of immediate assistance, please contact us by dialing, 617.776.5911."

The website does not publish office opening hours, so anyone wanting to know when the office is open, or to arrange a time to visit or book an appointment, should phone. The only times published anywhere on the site are the driver-ed class times on the registration page.

Lists Arlington, Boston, Somerville, Paterson, Highland, Elko, and Medford as a location. Names Massachusetts as a service area. Areas beyond these are not published.

Note that the page lists two separate twelve-hour driving lines at different prices ($840 and $850), and the component figures are reproduced here exactly as published rather than reconciled against the $1190 course price. Anyone comparing the cost of the full course with the individual line items should ask the school which combination applies to them and get a quote in writing.

The same page carries a notice headed "Attention: Parents and Students": "The Registry requires that all classroom and on-the-road instruction must be completed within 2 (two) years of the first classroom. If a student does not finish within that time, the fee paid for Driver's Education classes or on-the-road lessons will not be refunded. All the hours completed will be expired!" That wording is the school's own published statement; the Massachusetts RMV and the school are the authorities on what the Registry actually requires and on anything else to do with permits, eligibility or road tests.

The site does not publish a start-to-finish timeline for the course, a refund policy beyond the sentence above, or whether any part of the course can be taken online. For enrolment, current fees and available dates, contact the school on 617.776.5911 or 781.526.3762, or email info@friendshipautoschool.net.

The rates page on the Friendship Auto School website publishes prices for driving lessons. Under the heading "Adults Driving Lesson Programs (18 years old and up)" it lists, verbatim:

1 hour lesson - "Cash: $70 Credit card: $72" 5 hours - "Cash: $340 Credit card: $350" Road test - "Cash: $160 Credit card: $165"

The about page repeats two of these as "1 hour lesson.............................$70" and "5 hour lesson.............................$340".

Three notes follow the lesson rates on the same page: "* Lessons include free pick up and drop off!", "** Two lessons requirement before taking road test!" and "- 24 hour notice required for cancellation!! -". Further down the page a second cancellation note reads: "** Please note: 24 hours cancellation is required or there will be a $50 will be charged for any lesson or class missed".

On payment the page states

"Forms of payment: We accept cash, credit card (all major credit cards), check, or money order!"

These are the rates as published on the school's own rates page at the time it was read. Prices, fees and package contents change, so the cost of any lesson, the current rates, and a quote or estimate for anything not listed there should be confirmed directly with the school before booking. The school can be reached by phone on 617.776.5911, by email at info@friendshipautoschool.net, or at 235 Highland Ave. Somerville, MA 02143. The site does not publish any discount, package or promotional pricing beyond the items above.

The schedule published on that page reads: "2026 class schedule: September 18 and 19 September 25 and 26 October 2 and 3 Class times: Fridays - 4:00 pm-8:00 pm Saturdays - 1 pm - 7 pm". Dates and availability change, so the current schedule and whether a place is open should be confirmed by phone.

For lessons and general enquiries, the contact page carries a form asking for name, email, subject and message, and asks visitors to allow at least 24 hours for a response, with 617.776.5911 given for anything urgent. The homepage links straight to that page with "CLICK HERE to Contact Us TODAY to set up your appointment!"

The site does not publish an online booking system, a deposit amount, or how far ahead an appointment must be scheduled. The rates page does state "24 hour notice required for cancellation!!" for lessons already booked.

Ask anyway — the agent will say plainly that it is not published rather than guess.
