No professional licence numbers, state insurance registrations or certifications are published on the pages read, so none should be stated. The site does not publish a founding year, an employee headcount, or a street address for its offices.

Prices
Using EverQuote costs a consumer nothing. The FAQ page at everquote.com/faq/ states: "EverQuote service is free to consumers." EverQuote does not set, quote or publish the price of any policy. Rates, premiums, fees and any estimate for a person's own cover come from the insurance company or agent they are connected with, after a quote request. The FAQ describes the shopping problem as "many coverage options, complex pricing and dozens of insurance companies to choose from".
The homepage does publish two general figures, both attributed by the site to its own user data. On average premiums it says: "The average premium paid for full coverage is about $138 a month, based on premiums reported by EverQuote users. That's based on good drivers with the 'typical' level of coverage shown above." It also publishes a ranked table headed "The cheapest cars to insure" listing average annual premium amounts, beginning "1 HONDA FIT DX $1,521", under the footnote "Source: EverQuote, based on premiums reported by EverQuote users."

The FAQ page adds a savings statement, reproduced here exactly as published with its own qualifier: "We've saved consumers an average of $536 a year on auto insurance, based on a survey we conducted in 2017. Based on this, we estimate we've saved consumers more than $2 billion over the last seven years." That FAQ page is marked "Updated April 1st, 2015". Site banners read "Save hundreds today by comparing quotes from the nation's top insurance companies" and "No junk mail. Instant results. Always free."
These are general published averages and marketing statements. They are not a quote, an estimate, a rate or a saving for any individual, and no one's cost, prices or discount can be predicted from them.
To start a quote request, a visitor to everquote.com selects a policy type (Auto, or Home and Renters), enters a ZIP Code and answers questions. The homepage sets out three steps under "How it works": "Answer a few questions. Tell us a bit about yourself and your insurance needs by answering a few simple questions."; "Compare insurance providers. We analyze a wide range of insurance providers to bring you the best matches tailored to your needs and preferences."; and "Connect for personalized quotes. Easily connect with insurance providers online or by phone to compare quotes and choose a plan that is right for you."
EverQuote is a lead marketplace, and the FAQ is explicit that agents and insurers may contact the person who submits the form: "After you fill out a simple online form, our technology matches you to relevant options. You may receive quotes via phone or email from local insurance agents in your area who represent some of the best insurance companies nationwide. You can decide how you want agents to contact you."
On how information is used, the FAQ says: "The information you provide will be shared with insurance agents and insurance companies that intend to assist you with insurance quotes and coverage information. We will not sell or redistribute your information to any other third party other than in compliance with our Privacy Policy."
On timing, the FAQ says the form "takes less than two minutes" and that "Contact from insurers and local agents typically begins within minutes of your submission." The site does not promise a particular number of quotes, a particular price or rate, or that any policy will be issued. Booking an appointment or a schedule to talk further is arranged with the individual agent who makes contact, not on everquote.com. Site form buttons read "Get Quotes" and "Get auto quotes", with the line "No junk mail. Instant results. Always free."

Agent Support: "Join our Accelerated Growth Program for goal-based pricing, consistent lead volume, monthly business reviews, and a Dedicated Business Consultant."
On lead sourcing, the page says leads come from "EverQuote's owned and operated online properties" and from "our Verified Partner Network (VPN)", and that EverQuote "never sell[s] recycled or aged leads, and deliver[s] each lead in real-time to a maximum of three agents."
No prices, rates or fees for agent services are published on the page. To get pricing an agency has to make contact: "you must connect with an EverQuote Inside Sales Representative to activate your account", and the page repeats a phone number and hours throughout, "Call 844-707-8800, Weekdays, 9AM-5PM (ET)". Agents can also book a demo or schedule an appointment through the form, which carries a written consent-to-contact disclosure covering automatic dialing, prerecorded voice, SMS and MMS.
EverQuote is an online insurance marketplace. It is not an insurance company and does not issue policies. Its site footer describes the business this way: "EverQuote is a leading online insurance marketplace in the U.S. We're on a mission to help consumers better protect life's most important assets: their families, property and future."
The services offered on everquote.com are comparison shopping starting points for two policy types shown in the site navigation: Auto, and Home and Renters. The FAQ page says: "EverQuote works to save you time and money by providing a single starting point for insurance shopping" and "We can help you find auto, home and life insurance."
There is no cost or fee to a consumer for the comparison service. The FAQ states plainly: "EverQuote service is free to consumers." Any price, premium, rate or fee for an actual policy is set by the insurance company or agent, not by EverQuote, and no such price is published on the site. EverQuote does not decide coverage and does not handle claims.
On the same FAQ page EverQuote states that it "operates the largest online marketplace for insurance shopping in the U.S." and that "We have handled over 35 million quote requests from consumers", and that it works "with over 160 insurance companies and over 7,000 agents". That FAQ page carries the note "Updated April 1st, 2015", so those figures are as published there and are not current-year statements.
EverQuote, Inc. is a publicly traded company. The FAQ says: "Yes, EverQuote, Inc. stock is publicly traded on the Nasdaq Global Market under the symbol EVER." On location, the FAQ says: "EverQuote's headquarters are in Cambridge, Massachusetts." For anything beyond these published words, including financial results, a person should be referred to EverQuote's investor relations pages.

Hours and contact
The EverQuote contact page lists a general phone number for consumers: "All other queries: 855-522-3444". It also lists a separate email address for "Media Inquiries", but that address is obscured in the page source and is not restated here; it can be read on the contact page itself. The contact page carries an unsubscribe form: "If you wish to unsubscribe from receiving all Insurance-related emails from our company, please provide your address below." The site does not publish consumer support hours, a walk-in address, or a live chat option on this page.
A separate business phone line and hours are published for insurance agents on the EverQuote for Agents pages: "Call 844-707-8800", "Weekdays, 9AM-5PM (ET)". That line is for agencies, not for consumers shopping for a policy.

On location, the FAQ page answers "Where is EverQuote located?" with: "EverQuote's headquarters are in Cambridge, Massachusetts." That is the only address information published; no street address is given on the site. The areas served are described nationally, and the homepage links state-by-state car insurance guides for all fifty states, from Alabama through Wyoming, under the heading "Find cheap car insurance in your state:".
For privacy and do-not-call requests, everquote.com/data-privacy-form/ offers four options: "I want EverQuote to email me a record of my information", "I want to opt out of EverQuote's services so my information is not sold", "I want EverQuote to delete information about me", and "I want EverQuote to add me to its Do Not Call List." The page asks for at least two of last name, email and phone, and says "We will complete your request in accordance with our privacy policy." The footer also notes: "For quality control purposes, your activity on this website may be monitored or recorded by EverQuote or its service providers."
