Support is available for both iOS and Android apps. Maintenance plans can be tailored to a one-time fix or ongoing support. The company uses Xcode with Objective-C or Swift, Android Studio with Java or Kotlin, and Flutter with Dart.

Project features, functionality, and page counts are defined in the proposal and Project Specifications Document. Requests outside the purchased scope may be quoted as additional enhancements or charged at an hourly rate. Custom Software Lab may assign subcontractors and may use third-party or open-source technologies and frameworks.

The client must sign the project acceptance agreement and electronically accept the Terms of Service before work begins. Project completion timeframes are not guaranteed and may be affected by project complexity, approvals, client participation, additional content or modifications, staffing availability, and account status.

Warranty

Custom Software Lab provides a lifetime warranty for its own software code and will resolve functional or technical defects related to its code when the defect is within the contracted project scope. The warranty covers programming errors reported after go-live at no additional charge.

The warranty does not cover issues caused by server limitations, third-party systems or software, operating systems, browsers, plug-ins, unauthorized modifications, third-party access or modifications, or unauthorized backup, restoration, or rebuilding. Warranty coverage may also be affected by overdue payments or chargebacks.

Payments and cancellations

Accepted payment methods include bank checks, personal checks, money orders, and major credit or debit cards, with prior authorization required for credit card payment. Most development work requires a deposit of 50% of the total project payment.

If payment is not received within 28 days, the contract may be terminated. A service reinstatement fee of up to 20% of the total project cost may apply when a terminated project is resumed. Deposits and project payments generally cannot be refunded after 30 days or after design or development source code has been sent to the client or loaded onto the client's server.

Cancellation fees depend on the project status. A minimum of 50% is retained when an account is cancelled, even if work has not started. At least 75% may be retained when work has been presented or the client has not responded to repeated attempts to communicate. A 100% cancellation fee applies when requested changes have been completed, services have been rendered, or a project is cancelled after 30 days.

Privacy and communications

Client records are treated as confidential, except when disclosure is made to partners or suppliers or is legally required. Custom Software Lab states that it will not sell, share, or rent personal information to third parties or use email addresses for unsolicited mail. Notices may be delivered electronically, and calls may be monitored or recorded for training, customer service, and transaction-record purposes.
