Where cPanel works

Lists Holiday, Atlanta, Frederick, Wilmington, Houston, and University as a location. Names West as a service area. Areas beyond these are not published.

Prices

Pricing is published openly on the pricing page rather than by quote or estimate. Licence prices and tier structures change, so the figures below should be checked against https://www.cpanel.net/pricing/ before anyone relies on them. All figures below are quoted verbatim from that page as read, and every one carries the page's own qualifier "Excl. Tax".

Four cPanel licence plans are listed, each marked "Save 8.4% with annual billing":

Solo, "For freelancers and small agencies managing a single server", 1 Account — $29.99/mo billed monthly, or $27.46/mo billed annually. Marked "Available on Cloud/VPS Only".

Admin, "For application developers and small dev shops", Up to 5 Accounts — $35.99/mo billed monthly, or $32.96/mo billed annually. "Available on Cloud/VPS Only".

Pro, "For large agencies and growing hosting businesses", Up to 30 Accounts — $53.99/mo billed monthly, or $49.46/mo billed annually. "Available on Cloud/VPS Only".

Premier, "For data centers and enterprise hosting operations", Up to 100 Accounts with "Additional accounts $0.49 each" — $69.99/mo billed monthly. "Available on Cloud/VPS and Metal/Dedicated".

A separate WP Squared licence is listed at $84.99/mo, Excl. Tax, billed monthly, "For 10 WordPress sites (Then $0.40 for each additional)".

The page states that every cPanel plan includes WP Toolkit, Website Builder, email accounts, unlimited websites, SSL certificates, self-guided migration and website monitoring, with the Premier plan adding custom branding and additional accounts. Add-ons and extensions are also listed with "Starting From" monthly rates; those figures are not repeated here because the same add-ons show different starting costs on the products page.

The page defines an account as "another term for a cPanel user account that manages websites, files, domains, and email accounts", and notes WHM reseller accounts count as an account. Which tier fits a given operation depends on account count and server type and should be confirmed with cPanel directly. The cPanel Store accepts "Credit Card and PayPal payment methods", and licences "renew automatically on the same day of the month (or year, for annual licenses)". Discounted and free licences for qualifying non-profits, educational institutions and developers are mentioned without published fees.

Hours and contact

The company page publishes the contact information and the headquarters location. The address given is: Headquarters, WebPros International L.L.C., 1100 West 23rd Street, Suite 153, Houston TX, 77008, USA. Houston has been the company's home since 2004, when the timeline records "We move to Houston to take advantage of the larger talent pool."

Two phone numbers are published on that page: Tel: +1.713.529.0800 and Tol: +1.844.427.2635. The page's "Get in touch" block links to email contacts for Customer Service, a Sales Representative and a PR Representative; those addresses are obfuscated in the page source and are not reproduced here, so use the links on the page itself to reach them.

Customer service hours are published as "central standard time": 6AM–5PM Monday to Friday, 8AM–4PM Saturday to Sunday, and 8AM–4PM Holiday Hours. Separately, the products page describes a "global support team available 24/7" and the trial page lists "24/7 tech support" among what is included. Both statements are published; the site does not reconcile them, so anyone depending on when a line is open should confirm directly.

This is a software licensing business, not a local service that travels to a site, so the site publishes no service area, no areas served list and no on-site appointment scheduling. The Houston address is the corporate headquarters; customers are located worldwide. Support is normally routed through the online Support Portal rather than by phone — see the support page. Licence pricing is on the pricing page and no phone quote is required to see it.

Free trial, buying a licence, and what a server needs

There is no appointment or booking form for a sales meeting on the pages read; the published route is a free trial or a direct purchase through the cPanel Store. The trial page offers "Try cPanel and WHM Hosting Panel FREE for 15 days!" and states "Get started for FREE — Experience everything cPanel can do for your business, free for 15 days. No credit card needed."

The page lists what must be in place before installing the trial. A hosting server — a VPS, a cloud-based hyperscaler, a dedicated server or other hardware — running "an approved Linux distribution (AlmaLinux, Ubuntu, or CloudLinux)", with "full root access on your server", and meeting the minimum system requirements published in the documentation. A registered domain, noting that installing using an IP or hostname is possible but "most users will want to register and point a domain name to their hosting server". And configured nameservers set at the registrar to match those created on the server.

To buy, the pricing page notes that because "cPanel does not provide web-hosting services", purchasing a monthly cPanel and WHM licence through the cPanel Store requires "the public-facing static IP address of the server". Additional IP addresses do not need to be licensed; only the server's main public IPv4 does.

The trial page also explains BYOL, "Bring Your Own License", which "allows users to move their cPanel and WHM license between different hosting providers" and "Eliminates the need to purchase a new license when moving servers or IP addresses".

Prices are listed publicly rather than estimated per customer, so there is no quote request form on these pages. Buy Now links go to the cPanel Store, and the Login and Free Trial buttons appear in the site header on every page.

Support, migration help and documentation resources

The support page collects the self-service and assisted routes cPanel publishes. Community resources are the cPanel Forums and the cPanel Blogs. Technical manuals are listed as the cPanel Technical Manual and the WHM Technical Manual, hosted on the separate documentation site. The Support Portal is named as the place to "Discover the solutions to your queries in the cPanel Customer Portal" when the manuals do not answer a question.

Licence verification has its own tool, described as a way to "Check a server's cPanel and WHM license history and validity".

Migration is offered as a service: "Switch to cPanel for free — Move to the Hosting Platform of Choice and let us do the heavy lifting and configuration for you. We offer free migration services for a smooth transition." The pricing page adds that migration can be done with "cPanel and WHM's built-in Transfer Tool", and that "If you need assistance, our expert Support Team is ready to handle your migration request." The features page describes transferring cPanel accounts from remote servers with help from an in-house technical support team. Self-guided migration is listed as included with every cPanel plan.

Training is offered through cPanel University, described as a place "to learn technical and practical knowledge and earn official certifications for cPanel and WHM".

The pages read do not publish support response times, escalation tiers, guaranteed resolution windows, or the cost of any paid support option beyond what the licence includes. There is no published booking or appointment schedule for a support call; requests are raised through the Support Portal. A separate Support Agreement and Technical Support Agreements page is linked in the site footer for the contract terms.

What cPanel is, and its WebPros ownership

cPanel sells web hosting control panel software under licence. It is not a web host: the products page states plainly that "cPanel licenses do not include hosting." The home page describes cPanel as "the industry's most trusted hosting control panel for server and website management" and as "Web Hosting Control Panel and Server Management Tools". The two interfaces named across the site are cPanel, used by site owners, and WHM (WebHost Manager), described as "tailored for hosting providers". Buyers are hosting companies, agencies, developers and server administrators rather than consumers.

Ownership is published in the footer of every page read: "cPanel, WebHost Manager and WHM are registered trademarks of WebPros International L.L.C.", with the copyright line "©2026 WebPros International L.L.C." and the mark "Part of the WebPros Family". The company page dates the relationship to 2019: "cPanel joins the WebPros family, opening doors to even greater innovation."

The page headline is "Over two decades of powering the internet".

The site publishes prices, contact details and a headquarters address; it does not publish revenue figures, employee headcount for the current year, or ownership percentages. For anything beyond the above, the company page and the pricing page are the sources to check.

Named capabilities include SSL management, malware scanning, custom firewalls, backups, database management, resource usage monitoring, bandwidth management, and integrated performance tools described as "CDNs and caching".

For administrators, the page lists transferring cPanel accounts from remote servers, custom branding of the customer dashboard, real-time server statistics, creating cPanel accounts and custom hosting packages, offering reseller hosting, blocking or allowing IPs, deploying SSL certificates, multi-factor authentication for customers, and automating scheduled backups, software updates, cron jobs and scripts.

WP Toolkit is presented as the WordPress component, with the listed actions "stage, clone, sync, copy, update, migrate, security harden", bulk plugin and theme management, and testing updates "in a risk-free environment before going live".

The products page splits licences by environment: "Cloud licenses — Available for VPS and cloud instances" and "Metal licenses — Available for dedicated servers". Other solutions named in the site navigation are Sitejet Builder, SocialBee, Server Monitoring, Site Quality Monitoring, WP Squared, Virtualization and Hyperscalers.

These are the site's own feature descriptions. The pages read do not publish uptime figures, service level agreements, security certifications or compliance attestations, and nothing here should be taken as a guarantee of any outcome. Detailed technical services and system requirements live in the separate documentation site.
