Leadership

Imran Salahuddin is the Founder and CEO, based in Toronto, Ontario. He leads every engagement personally, including scoping, strategy, client communication, discovery calls, strategy sessions, weekly check-ins, and escalations.

Delivery model

• Product strategy, client management, and communication are led from Toronto.
• Engineering is handled by a dedicated in-house team based in Pakistan.
• The engineering team works Eastern hours and works only on Build Me App projects.
• Clients meet their engineers by name and can review their LinkedIn profiles before signing.
• The lead developer works on no more than two projects at once.
• Builds are led by a senior or mid-senior developer with at least three years of production experience.
• Junior developers may support specific tasks but do not own critical architecture or core feature development.
• Daily written updates are provided in a shared workspace such as Slack or Notion, along with weekly video check-ins.
• A dedicated QA engineer independently tests the product.

The studio covers product strategy, UX and design, frontend and backend engineering, iOS and Android development, AI and machine learning, QA, DevOps, digital marketing, SEO and content, and project management. It does not outsource or subcontract the build.

Build Me App connects products to payments, CRMs, ERPs, shipping, authentication, analytics, and other business platforms. Integration work includes payment gateways such as Stripe and Square, CRM and ERP systems, identity providers, communications APIs, logistics platforms, and analytics pipelines.

Engagement models

• Fixed-scope project: A defined scope, timeline, and price agreed in writing. This is suited to MVPs, feature builds, and defined modernisation projects.
• Retainer and ongoing: A dedicated monthly capacity block for post-launch improvements, features, or marketing support.

Project-based work is priced using a fixed-scope model with a detailed written quote. Retainers use a monthly capacity model. Build Me App does not use hourly billing.

Scope and payments

Every engagement is scoped in writing. A typical MVP is divided across three to four deliverable-based milestones, including an initial deposit, design completion, development completion, and final delivery. Build Me App does not require a majority of payment upfront.

Additional charges apply only to work outside the agreed scope. Before extra work begins, the client receives a written change request with the cost and timeline for approval.

Ownership, QA, and handover

The client receives full and permanent ownership of the source code and intellectual property upon final payment, together with repository, asset, and documentation access. QA is performed by a dedicated team member who did not write the code and includes functional, regression, and device compatibility testing. Client-facing releases also go through formal user acceptance testing.

Every project includes a 30-day post-launch warranty covering bug fixes. Critical bugs during the warranty period receive a response within four business hours. Ongoing maintenance and support packages are available afterward.

If a client ends an engagement, completed milestones, code, designs, and documentation belong to the client, with a handover to the client or its next team.

Channels

• Analytics and reporting: Monthly plain-English reports focused on agreed performance metrics.
• Go-to-market strategy: Positioning, channel planning, and a first-90-days growth plan before media spend begins.

Marketing process

1. Audit and strategy: Current channels, rankings, ad performance, and analytics are reviewed, followed by a written channel strategy and KPIs.
2. Launch and baseline: Campaigns and tracking are launched, with organic and paid channels running in parallel.
3. Optimise and scale: Budget is reallocated, creatives are tested, and bids are adjusted based on performance.
4. Report and iterate: Monthly reports track three to five agreed KPIs, with quarterly strategy reviews.

Clients own their advertising accounts, Google Analytics, Meta Business Manager, and data from the beginning. Build Me App manages the accounts but does not lock clients in.

SEO typically takes three to six months to produce meaningful organic traffic growth. Marketing engagements require a minimum of three months. For products Build Me App did not build, a marketing audit is completed before the retainer is scoped.

Product approach

The platform used one shared brand, native codebase, unified backend, authentication, and student profiles across the products. Students could discover meals and services based on mood, budget, neighbourhood, and location. Features included meal packs, custom meals, weekly plans, bundle deals, student discounts, beverage pairing, verified accommodation listings, student-focused job and tutoring listings, and vendor controls.

The vendor dashboard provided order volumes, revenue analytics, pre-order management, menu controls, and real-time operations. The subscription and pre-order engine supported weekly meal plans, bundle pricing, and a six-month free tier for early adopters.

Outcome

Five products were designed, built, and launched by one studio in eight weeks, with native apps on both platforms. The platform launched with a subscription model, an early-adopter programme, and infrastructure intended to support growth from campus to city to country.
