# BDH > Official BDH business agent. BDH is a Minneapolis architecture and interior design firm specializing in workplace, healthcare, and housing projects, with… ## Ask it a question BDH answers for itself at https://api.hailera.com/mcp/bdh. A client that speaks MCP can connect to that address; the tool is ask_bdh and the protocol is 2026-07-28. Where this file and the agent disagree, the agent is current. ## About BDH The team page lists roughly two dozen named staff with job titles, including Joyce Stupnik (President | Partner), Angela Moore (Partner), Beth Nordstrom (Project Executive | Partner), Todd Mulvihill (Director of Operations | Partner), Jill Brecount (Principal), Jolene Santema (Project Architect), plus senior project managers, project executives, lead and project designers, technical designers, job captains, a studio manager and a marketing coordinator. The page says the team is "passionate about transforming the world through design." the site does not publish any professional licence, registration or certification for the firm or for any individual. No AIA, NCARB, NCIDQ or LEED credential appears after any name, no state architect registration number is given, no licence numbers of any kind are shown, and there is no statement of which states the firm is licensed to practise in. None of that should be asserted on the firm's behalf. The four stated core values are integrity, client focused, collaboration and passion, with the firm saying "One and done is not in our vocabulary." The awards page lists recognitions by year from 2018 through 2026. Recurring ones include Best Commercial Interior Design Firm from Twin Cities Business (listed for 2026, 2025, 2024 and 2021), Best Design Firm for Office Interiors in the Finance and Commerce Reader Rankings, Finance and Commerce Top Project awards, NAIOP Awards of Excellence, MREJ and MADACS awards, and a ranking as a Top 25 Architecture Firm by the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal in 2018 and 2019. The 2025 Finance and Commerce Project of the Year went to Schafer Richardson. From architectural and interior design to construction administration to visualization, we partner with our clients from the exploratory stages of the project all the way through the final punch list." The services listed, each with the site's own description, are: Architecture — "We strategically design buildings that transform communities and positively impact people," focused on the function of the space and on environments that "enhance living, working and healing." Architectural planning — analysis of site conditions, feasibility assessment, "building assessments to pre-design to master planning." Programming — collaborating with clients "to thoroughly understand the functions of their space, along with their desired aesthetic, to establish a custom design solution." Space planning — layout and project goals driven by "the well-being of the people using the spaces we design." Interior design — "We design beyond aesthetics and focus on creating unique environments that derive emotion, tell a story and elevate the user experience." Tenant planning — work "with developers, building owners, brokers, and property managers," covering "occupancy planning, space allocation, capital improvements and building re-positioning." Construction documentation — "detailed construction documents that define the floor plan, elevations, and material specifications." Construction administration — designers "collaborate closely with the general contractors throughout the construction process." Visualization — renderings "ranging from line drawings to photorealistic imagery." Furniture procurement and staging — "selecting and procuring commercial furniture that aligns with the design intent." The page gives no prices, no hourly rates and no fee schedule for any of these services. A client wanting cost or an estimate has to contact the firm directly at 952-893-9020 or info@bdh.design. BDH is an architecture and design firm with its office located at 201 Irving Ave N., Ste. 200, Minneapolis, MN 55405. Its published tagline is "Designing with purpose." The firm's services cover three sectors it names on every part of the site: workplace, healthcare, and housing. "BDH takes an intentional approach to design and architectural problem-solving to create more purposeful spaces with the best interest of people in mind. Specializing in workplace, healthcare, and housing design, we understand the positive impact of place. For over 50 years, we have worked to be less conventional and more intentional." The about page describes the firm's approach this way: "Great design doesn't come from easy solutions, unsupported assumptions, or clinging to outdated trends. It comes from being thoughtful to create what is useful and meaningful. It comes from actively listening to each client's vision and bringing it to fruition." Two points a caller should know because the website does not answer them. First, the site never spells out what the initials B, D and H stand for; no expanded firm name appears on any published page, so the letters should not be guessed at. Second, the site publishes no prices, no rates, no fees and no cost ranges of any kind, and no office hours. To reach the firm, the published contact details are the phone number 952-893-9020, the email address info@bdh.design, and the Minneapolis address above. A separate email, accounting@bdh.design, is published for the accounting team. The site also notes the firm rebranded and moved: "In addition to rebranding, BDH moved to a new office, bringing us to a flourishing central location," giving 201 Irving Ave N, Ste. 200, Minneapolis, MN 55405 as the new address. Source: https://bdh.design/experience/services/ ## Where BDH works Lists Topeka, Moore, Irving, Moline, Schaumburg, Grand Rapids, Blaine, and Eden Prairie as a location. Names Minnesota, Richardson, Sherman, Minnetonka, and Davis as a service area. Areas beyond these are not published. ## Hours and contact BDH works from a single published location. The address, repeated in the header and footer of every page, is 201 Irving Ave N., Ste. 200, Minneapolis, MN 55405. The firm is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the site links that address to Google Maps. No branch offices, satellite studios or other locations are listed. Published contact details are the phone number 952-893-9020, a general email address info@bdh.design ("send us an email"), and a second email accounting@bdh.design for the accounting team. The contact page also carries a newsletter sign-up asking only for full name and email. What the site does not publish, and what should therefore not be stated on the firm's behalf: office hours. No opening or closing times, no days of the week, and no statement about whether the office is open on weekends appear anywhere on the site. Nor is there any pricing information — no prices, price ranges, cost estimates, hourly rates, design fees, percentages of construction cost, retainers or minimum project sizes. There is no online booking tool, no appointment scheduler and no request-a-quote form on the site; the contact page offers email and phone only. So the practical route for someone who wants an estimate, a proposal, a fee quote, or an appointment to discuss a project is to phone 952-893-9020 or email info@bdh.design and ask. The site does not describe a service area or areas served either. Most named projects carry Minnesota and Twin Cities place names — Lakeville, Blaine, Eden Prairie, Southdale, Minnetonka, Hermantown, Grand Rapids — but the site never states which areas, cities or states the firm will travel to, so coverage outside the Minneapolis metro should be confirmed with the firm. How it works, in the firm's own words: "Laser scanning captures millions of 3D data points to create detailed digital representations of buildings, processed into a Revit model. Unlike manual field verification or consumer-grade tools, BDH's scanners deliver up to 680,000 points per second with unmatched precision. A single scan, covering 100 to 750 square feet, takes just 20 seconds—minimizing disruption and accelerating timelines." "schedule the scan, capture data on-site, process into a 3D model, and receive accurate as-built plans in PDF format." On turnaround the article says: "Depending on building size and complexity, the full turnaround—from first contact to final delivery—typically takes one to two weeks." That is the only timeline the firm publishes, and it is stated as typical rather than guaranteed. The stated reason to use it: "Nearly two in five professionals report a lack of confidence in the accuracy of their floor plans," cited to BuildingEngines, a JLL company. The article says accurate building data "enhances asset value, improves management efficiency, and supports tenant attraction and retention," and matters for renovation planning, insurance risk mitigation, emergency preparedness and building certification. To book or schedule a scan, the article directs readers to contact BDH at info@bdh.design. No price, cost, rate or fee for scanning is published anywhere on the site, and no per-square-foot pricing is given, so anyone asking what a scan costs needs a quote from the firm. Each project, whether a cutting-edge new build or a strategic renovation, reflects our commitment to creating purposeful places that positively impact people." The portfolio is organised into three categories. Healthcare. The category page says design precision "is vital to high-functioning healthcare facilities" and that the firm creates spaces "well-suited for practitioners and comforting for patients and caregivers." It has a dental sub-category. Listed projects include Minnesota ENT, Lakeville Specialty Center, Children's Minnesota, Minnesota Oncology, Minnesota Urology, Southdale Pediatrics, Allina Health Surgery Center, several M Health Fairview clinics, Hudson Medical Center, VitreoRetinal Surgery, Winkley Orthotics and Prosthetics, and a number of dental and orthodontic practices. Workplace. The page describes "distinctive office space that instills a sense of pride, reflects your firm's individual personality and stature," and says that for over 50 years the firm has "created solutions that improve employee satisfaction, promote productivity, and increase retention." Listed clients include Messerli | Kramer, MN Lottery Headquarters, Ehlers, Milliman, CLA, Lennar Homes, Schafer Richardson, Meritex, Sherman Associates, Daikin, Davis and Associates and Minnetonka Corporate Campus. Housing. Covering multi housing and senior living, the page says the firm creates "functional, inspiring, and aesthetically pleasing spaces" cultivated over "50+ years of experience." Listed projects include Lochner, The Otto, The Pillars of Hermantown, The Pillars of Lakeville, The Aurilla, Vue at BlueStone, Waterstone Place, Oaks Union Depot, The Moline, The Minneapolis Veterans Home and Zvago communities. No project budgets, construction costs or design fees are published for any project.
