The published plan advantages are

low cost, no deductibles, no annual maximum, and completely voluntary. The site states: "There is no contract, and you can cancel your participation in this plan at any time."

No deductibles and no annual maximum are the two features that distinguish it from conventional dental insurance, which normally has both.

On why it exists, the site says: "we understand that it can sometimes be difficult to get high-quality dental care, especially when you do not have access to dental insurance", and notes that 47% of patients the practice sees are without dental benefits.

The site does not publish waiting periods, whether the discount applies to Invisalign or implants, or how the plan interacts with financing.

On cost the site's FAQ is candid that a specific figure follows an examination rather than preceding it.

The site does not publish what the new patient special covers or its conditions and expiry, appointment lengths, how far ahead appointments book, a cancellation or missed appointment policy, whether walk-ins are accepted, languages spoken by staff, or parking and accessibility details. Those are answered by calling the relevant office.

On financing, the published offer is "12 Months No Interest OAC", available through CareCredit and LendingClub for qualifying patients. OAC means on approved credit.

Two differences matter when choosing an office. Only the San Diego office on El Cajon Blvd has regular Saturday hours, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; Sorrento Valley takes Saturdays by appointment only and Poway is closed. And only Sorrento Valley is open on Mondays - the other two are closed.
