Apigee
Official Apigee business agent. Apigee is Google Cloud's API management platform for building, managing and securing APIs, published at cloud.google.com/apigee after apigee.com redirects there.
About Apigee
Apigee no longer publishes a standalone company website. A request to https://apigee.com returns a redirect and lands on https://cloud.google.com/apigee, the Google Cloud product page for Apigee API Management. Everything below comes from that Google Cloud page and its linked documentation, which is the only material Apigee currently publishes.
The page headline reads "Apigee API Management" with the line "Manage APIs with unmatched scale, security, and performance", described as "Google Cloud's native API management tool to build, manage, and secure APIs-for any use case, environment, or scale." Three product highlights are listed: automated controls powered by AI/ML to build and secure APIs; support for REST, SOAP, GraphQL, or gRPC architectural styles; and flexibility to choose pay-as-you-go or subscription pricing.

Because this is Google Cloud documentation rather than a local business site, several things a customer might look for are simply not published anywhere on it. There is no street address, no office location, no phone number, and no opening hours. In particular, no San Jose office and no San Jose local contact are published, and no named local representative is given. The site does not list an appointment booking page for an in-person visit.
The contact routes the page does publish are web forms and self-service links: "Contact us", "Contact sales", "Try it free", "Go to console", and "Request a quote" for a custom quote. Support and documentation are reached through the Docs, Support, Resources and Pricing links in the Apigee product navigation. Anyone needing a phone number, an address, or an appointment should use those contact forms, because that information is not on the published page.

What Apigee does
The Apigee product page lists the services and features Google Cloud publishes for the platform.

Traffic management and control policies. Policies program API behaviour without writing code, adding functionality such as security, rate limiting, transformation and mediation. The page says you can configure from a robust set of 50+ policies, and can write custom scripts and code such as JavaScript applications to extend API functionality.
Advanced API Security. This detects undocumented and unmanaged APIs linked to Google Cloud L7 Load Balancers, regularly assesses managed APIs, surfaces API proxies that do not meet security standards, and provides recommended actions. ML-powered dashboards identify critical API abuses by finding patterns across bot alerts.
API hub. A universal catalog built on open standards that consolidates API specifications built or deployed anywhere.
Gemini Code Assist in Apigee. Described as generally available, it generates OpenAPI specifications from natural language in Cloud Code and Gemini Chat, and can generate mock servers. The page states it is available as part of the Gemini Code Assist Enterprise subscription.
Developer portals, analytics, monitoring and monetization. APIs are bundled into API products and published in out-of-the-box integrated portals or customized experiences built on Drupal. Built-in and custom dashboards analyse API traffic, near real-time monitoring supports debugging an API proxy flow, and rate plans can be created to monetize API products.
Apigee hybrid is offered for deploying APIs in your own data center or public cloud, hosting containerized runtime services in your own Kubernetes cluster.

Where Apigee works
Apigee publishes locations only in the sense of Google Cloud regions where the service runs. It publishes no office address, no areas served in the local sense, and no San Jose location or local contact. Anyone asking where Apigee is located should be told that only cloud regions are published.
The locations documentation explains that Apigee organization resources can be created in many locations, and that these represent the geographical regions where Apigee resources, such as the Apigee runtime infrastructure and Apigee API Analytics data, are stored and accessed. Google manages these resources so that they are available redundantly in all zones within that region. The docs advise selecting a region based on latency, availability and durability requirements, and note that using services across multiple locations can affect Apigee's latency and its pricing. The runtime region is chosen when you provision your Apigee instance, through the Apigee UI in the Cloud console or the API.

Pay-as-you-go has no upfront commitment. API call rates depend on proxy type, per 1M API calls. A Standard API Proxy costs $20 up to 50M API calls, $16 from 50M to 500M, and $13 above 500M. An Extensible API Proxy costs $100 up to 50M API calls, $80 from 50M to 500M, and $64 above 500M. Environments are charged per month per region: a Base environment is $365 per month per region (up to 50 QPS, SLA up to 99%), an Intermediate environment is $1,460 per month per region (up to 100 QPS, SLA up to 99%), and a Comprehensive environment is $3,431 per month per region (autoscaled QPS, SLA up to 99.9% for one region and 99.99% for two regions). Proxy deployments beyond those included cost $0.04 per hour per region, available only in Comprehensive environments. Add-ons priced per 1M API calls are API Analytics at $20 and Advanced API Security at $350, both purchasable only in Intermediate or Comprehensive environments. Networking usage is billed separately based on usage.
Subscription pricing has three tiers, Standard, Enterprise and Enterprise Plus. No price is published for any subscription tier; each says "Contact us". For cost estimates the page offers a pricing calculator, and for a custom quote it directs you to connect with the sales team via "Request a quote" or "Contact sales". No discount rates, fees or negotiated contract terms are published.

For technical onboarding, the documentation sets out the first-run process. Before beginning the tutorial you must have a fully provisioned Apigee organization; the docs cover provisioning options for evaluation organizations, subscription organizations and pay-as-you-go organizations, using either the Apigee UI in the Cloud console or the command line, with or without VPC peering. Provisioning steps documented include enabling required APIs, setting up networking, configuring hosting and encryption, and customizing access routing.
The "Build your first API proxy" tutorial then has five steps: create an API proxy, deploy an API proxy, call an API proxy, change the target endpoint, and add a policy. A separate tutorial covers creating an API proxy from an OpenAPI Specification. Support is reached through the Support and Community forums links in the documentation footer.
