How to get started

1. Register online

• Begin by completing the online registration form.
• You will need documentation that shows you are legally authorized to work in the United States.

2. Phone interview

• A professional recruiter reviews your registration.
• We contact you to schedule a phone interview and discuss your experience and preferences.

3. Work history and in-person interview

• We collect your complete work history.
• We schedule an in-person interview so we can get to know you and your skills.

4. Onboarding application package

• You receive our onboarding application package, which is the second step in our hiring process.

5. Reference checks and employment verification

• We conduct reference checks based on the employer information you provide.
• We review your employment documents to verify your eligibility to work.

6. Final paperwork

• You complete final paperwork, including the I-9 form and other required documents.

Once you are hired into our system, we go to work matching you with jobs that fit your skills, experience and interests.

Finding and accepting jobs

• Our available jobs change on a daily basis.
• When we find positions that match your background, an Active recruiter will contact you to discuss the job and invite you to a job-specific orientation, when needed.
• We will tell you the pay rate and hours for an assignment before you decide whether to take it.
• If you are not interested in a particular job, you are free to decline it. We will continue to consider you for other opportunities that may be a better fit.

While you are on assignment

• If you start an assignment and find that it is not a good fit, contact your local Active Staffing branch immediately.
• You may be asked to stay on the assignment long enough for us to find a replacement, and we will work to find you a different position as quickly as possible.

Staying in touch about your availability

• We encourage you to stay in regular contact with your local Active branch.
• Let us know when you are available, when you are on an assignment, and when your availability changes.
• You can also call your branch if you have questions about current or upcoming positions.

Pay and cost to you

• Your pay: Your hourly wage will vary depending on the job you are assigned to.
• Before you accept: We will always tell you the pay rate and hours for a job in advance.
• Your cost: There is no fee to job seekers. You do not pay Active Staffing Services for finding or placing you in a position.
